“Here are the Glenloe Dohne 2021 Sale Rams.The rams have come through the winter well and have come forward in great condition for the sale.Of the rams 16 have the 1.1 foot score and 26 carry the 1 in their foot score. Their average EMA’s get better each year while holding at 18.5 average micron and average fleece weight of 4.5kg hogget fleece.As per normal the sale will be on farm at the Waimakariri Gorge on Thursday 9 December and the sale will be a Helmsman auction using the Yourbid platform.”Sale Format
The sale will be conducted as a Helmsman-style auction, meaning that all lots are for sale simultaneously. This is to allow for the participation of those in attendance, as well as those online. Rams are available for viewing in the paddock anytime – just call Richard Loe on 027 208 5185 to arrange a time.
Online registration is available NOW and we encourage everyone to visit our website https://www.yourbid.co.nz/ to register, and then place practice bids on the demonstration lots on the auction page. Conditions of Sale will be available on the Yourbid website.
Buyers registering online will receive a buyer number in their email which will automatically accompany each bid they place, whether they do so at home on their computer, or through their smart phone while in attendance.
Buyers can also register and bid in person on Sale Day, Thursday 9th December, the on-farm registration desk will be open from 2pm, where a copy of the Conditions of Sale will be posted. Buyers will receive a buyer number as they register which will accompany each bid. Those in attendance can bid by writing using the supplied bidding cards and handing them in to the auctioneers. All live bids and all lots will be visible at all times, both online and on a big screen on-farm.
Videos of rams in their lots will be released on the Yourbid website on Wednesday 1st December. This video will include footage of every ram in the catalogue with expert comments from genetic specialists and will be available for viewing right up until the sale.
Online bidding will be open from 7pm on Sunday 5th December until the conclusion of the sale. On Sale Day, Thursday 9th December, the on-farm registration will be open from 2pm.
A live screen on the website will show all lots alongside their current prices and the buyer number of the bidder who holds that lot. On-farm attendees will be able to view on a big screen on site. Bids will be displayed on a computer or smart phone screen in the following colours:

The sale will run until 4pm on Thursday 9th December. After this time, the sale will conclude once there has been a period of at least 2 minutes without a bid being received on any lot. If another bid is placed on any lot during the 2-minute period, then time is extended, and bids can be received on all lots for a further 2 minutes. This process will be repeated until a clear 2 minutes pass without any bids on any lot, at which time the sale will conclude.
Final Time will be called clearly by the Auctioneers who will use their discretion to ensure all bidders are satisfied. All updates will be posted on our website, as will an up-to-date version of this document.
Rebate purchasing commission. In conjunction, PWA Ltd and Hazlett Ltd are the selling companies and are booking the sale.
- 6% rebate commission will be paid to the nominated buying company, provided that either the vendor or one of the booking companies are advised of the purchaser’s intention to buy prior to the commencement of the on-farm sale, or before the purchaser commences bidding online.
- 3% rebate commission will be paid to the nominated buying company when the vendor or the booking companies have NOT been advised of the purchaser’s intention to buy prior to the commencement of the on-farm sale, or before the purchaser commences bidding online.
Conditions of Sale
- The auction will be conducted under the NZ Stock & Station Agents Association Conditions of Sale and the Yourbid Terms & Conditions as available at the following website: https://www.yourbid.co.nz/
- Each lot shall become the property of the purchaser at the close of the Yourbid auction.
- Finance are strictly cash prior to delivery of any animals unless prior credit arrangement has been made with the Auctioneers.
- Although all care has been taken to ensure the accuracy of the information contained in this catalogue, Peter Walsh & Associates Ltd, Hazlett Limited or Yourbid and their employees do not accept any responsibility or liability as to mis-descriptions errors, omission or mis-statements either directly or indirectly by the negligence of the companies and/or their employees.
- The sale will be conducted purchase price plus GST.
- The on-farm auction site will be operating under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, when attending please first report to the registration area and familiarise yourself with the hazards identified on site and remain within the confines of the auction area at all times.
- Transport: Leave full and explicit instructions in regard to transport.
- Insurance: The selling agent can arrange insurance on any stock.
- Upset Price for each lot will be as listed on the Yourbid website.
- No transfer available.
Overseas Exports
- Prior to auction – Purchases who wish to export the animal/s (“Export Purchases”) must advise the auctioneers at least 2 hours prior to the sale commencing that they are considering purchasing specific breeds at the auction. The Auctioneers will then advise all vendors of relevant breeds that their animals are being considered for export. Vendors not wishing to have their animals considered for export are to advice the Auctioneers.
- Purchase at auction by Export Purchases is conditional upon the animal/s purchased passing all relevant export protocol and testing (conducted at the Export Purchase’s expense). Full payment (plus GST) will be made at the fall of the hammer to the Auctioneers as per usual terms and conditions. Payment will be held by the auctioneers until the animal/s leave New Zealand. Payment will be refunded to the Export Purchases less all associated export costs for any animal/s purchased failing export protocol and testing.
